Ingo Ortmann completed his PhD at the Max-Planck Institute in Mühlheim an der Ruhr and has worked for over 20 years in various management roles for an international pharmaceutical company based in Germany. His work has taken him to many places, including several years in Mexico.

His core task as head of a pharmaceutical production plant includes the permanent optimisation of processes towards lean production in the value chain (Lean Six Sigma) and the creation of binding, sustainable and stable processes. The structure and organisation established thereby plays a valuable role in the accompanying need for cultural change. Ingo Ortmann uses this systemic style of leadership to successfully accomplish further restructuring projects and turn the enterprise into a self-learning organisation.
